## What it does

When a website or its email stops working, the cause is usually one of a handful of things. Enter a domain and SignalDNS checks them all at once: whether the site loads, its security certificate, its DNS, its registration, and its email setup.

Each answer comes back marked as a problem, something that needs attention, fine, or something it couldn't check. You get plain-English next steps and a summary you can paste straight into a support ticket.

There are no accounts, ads, or analytics, and reports aren't saved.

## Tools for a closer look

- **Redirects:** follow every hop a web address takes before it lands.
- **Page audit:** how a page will look in search results, whether search engines can index it, its structured data, and its weight.
- **DNS lookup:** compare what public DNS resolvers and the domain's own name servers return, side by side.
- **Certificate:** who issued it, what it covers, and when it expires.
- **Registration:** the registrar, the key dates, and the domain's status.
- **Email setup:** mail servers, SPF, DMARC, DKIM, and the newer email security records.
- **Lists and comparisons:** check up to 50 domains at once, export the results, add expiry dates to a calendar, or put two domains side by side.

A Learn section explains each check in plain language, for whoever ends up reading the report.

## How it's built

A web front end with a separate API that does the checking. Before every release, the checks are tested against local stand-ins for real DNS, certificate, and registration servers. Releases deploy automatically and are confirmed on the live site afterward.
